THIS WOOD CARVED TRADE SIGN WAS FROM THE BALTHASER GENERAL STORE, HAMBURG, PA. DATES TO 1870. STORE CLOSED IN 1950. IT HAS HOLES THRU THE SIGN WHERE IT WOULD HAVE HUNG. IT IS DOUBLE SIDED AND READS: ENTRANCE WITH VERY GOOD ARTIS PAINTED POINTING HAND AND FINGER. IT IS MOSTLY ORIGINAL. ONE SIDE HAS SOME LETTER TOUCH UP. ONE SIDE IS IN BETTER CONDITION THAN THE OTHER, BUT, BOTH ARE GOOD. IT HAS SOME CRACKLING IN THE PAINT. IT IS 5 FEET LONG X 11" WIDE. A VERY IMPOSING LOOK.
