THIS IS THE MEDIUM SIZE EAGLE USED ON THE COLUMBIA PRESS AS A COUNTER BALANCE TO PRESS EARLY PRINTING MATERIAL,1813.IT IS CAST SOLID AND WEIGHTS ABOUT 50 LBS. EAGLE IS PEARCHED ON A BRANCH CLUTCHING A CORNUCOPIA DISPLAYING GOOD TIMES. IT HAS GOOD DETAIL AND IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. IT IS MOUNTED ON A WOOD BASE FOR DISPLAY. IT HAS A BOLT APPLIED TO MOUNT ON THE BASE. 14 3/8" WIDE X 18 5/8". IT IS ATTRIBUTED TO :RICHIE & SONS OF EDINBURG. SEE PHOTOS OF A LIVE PRESS IN NYC.
