THIS SMALL BOX IS PROBABLY A JEWELRY BOX MADE BY A SAILOR FOR A LOVED ONE. IT HAS A WELL EXECUTED CLIPPER SHIP FLYING A 35 STAR FLAG AND A LIGHTHOUSE ON AN ISLAND TO ONE SIDE. THE SHIP AND THE BUILDINGS ARE CARVED AND APPLIED. IT HAD 3 COMPARTMENTS WITH ONE DIVIDER MISSING. GREAT USED SURFACE. IT IS MADE OF PINE WOOD AND COMES FROM A MASS. COLLECTION. A GREAT FIND. C.1865-1880. 7 1/2" WIDE X 3 1/2" DEEP X 2 3/4" TALL.
