THIS IS A DIORAMA OF THE FAMOUS CLIPPER SHIP FLYING CLOUD, BUILT IN EAST BOSTON BY DONALD MC KAY, 1851. IT HAS WOODEN SAILS AND THE RIGHT FLAGS FLYING WITH THE WIND IN THE SAILS. IN 1852 SHE SET A RECORD GOING AROUND CAPE HORN TO SAN FRANCISCO IN 89 DAYS. FROM A MAINE COLLECTION. IN ORIGINAL PAINT LARGE SIZE: 40" X 31 1/2" X 6 1/4". MADE OF POPLAR WOOD AND HELD WITH SQUARE NAILS. IT HAS AN OLD HAND WRITTEN TAG ON THE SIDE LISTING HISTORY. AN IMPOSING PIECE.
